- Pineapple
- Peaches, skinned and chopped
- Star fruit
- Orange, segmented and cut

- Small can of fruit salad
Method
First of all prepare the syrup. A quick way to do this is to place the sugar and water in a basin, cover and microwave for 5 minutes. Stir and then leave to cool.
When the syrup is cool, stir in the lemon juice and Grand Marnier. Then pour the syrup into the bowl you are using for the fruit salad. Add the can of fruit salad together with a can of cold water.
Prepare the fruits by cutting them into small chunks and adding plenty of variety for texture and colour. The above list is just a guideline, use as many or as little as you like.
Stir them into the liquid and leave to let the flavours mingle. On a hot summers day it's nice to serve it chilled, with fresh cream poured gently over it!
*When using bananas and strawberries, try to add these at the last moment so that the
banana doesn't discolour and stays fresh, longer and the strawberries don't soften.
After chopping the fruits, i.e. apples etc., get them into the juice as soon as you can, to
prevent them from discolouring.
Tropical Fruit Salad
For a variation on the above, use a small can of tropical fruit salad and choose more exotic fruits such
as mangoes, pineapple, star fruit, and paw paws together with kiwis, apples and oranges.
